Welcome to Dunfermline Rugby Football Club Youth section
Dunfermline RFC welcome boys and girls players in from under 6 to under 18.
Across the various ages, our team managers and coaches will provide a clear pathway for all the players to develop their rugby skills and confidence while making new friends and having fun.
Our midi section has mixed genre squads from under 6 to under 12. While Girls can play in the mixed teams up to under 10, we have also created a Mini Girls squad to introduce rugby to younger girls in a more comfortable environment.
They have training sessions once or twice a week. They play other clubs in small or large festivals on Sundays.
Our Junior section is made of various squads from U13 to U18 for the boys and U12 to U18 for the girls.
Each squad have 2 training sessions per week and play SRU sponsored competitive games at National level or at Caledonia regional levels. They also play various friendly matches to keep them game ready throughout the season
The training sessions for all squads take place at our home ground McKane Park, except during the darker days from end October to end of March where they train at the Dunfermline Learning Campus.
Home games are always played at McKane Park.
The age grade to which your child will belong is defined by the Scottish Rugby Union. It is based on the child age on the 1st September at the start of each season. It differs for boys and girls. The 2 calculators below will help you find the right squad.
Your child can come along and try for 3 sessions before having to join. Membership is £45 per year for under 8s and £15 per month for all other age groups. Please find more details about each squad on their respective page.
